Known Problems

The following is a list of some known problems with our software; we are working to correct them for the next release.

bulletLoading Yachtbroker 2000 with Access 2000 already installed. Before attempting to load Yachtbroker 2000 on a machine with Access 2000 loaded please read the Microsoft's knowledge base article on how to load both Access 2000 and Access 97 to the same machine. Click on the link to follow to view this article. Q241141
bulletYachtbroker 2000 uses a run time version of Access 97. In early versions of Access 97 their was a bug that corrupted memo or OLE type fields in the Access Data files. This manifests itself by putting #Error in a damaged field and prevents any query from operating on the data set which in turn gives you an error message saying that you can't save any data as another user is using the record. To prevent this error from happening please make sure that all workstations have installed the Microsoft Service release for Office 97,  SR1 and SR2. Alternatively if you already have this error then included in the Yachtbroker download section is a utility to repair the data set. Please phone for help on this utility.
